17 Reasons why I hate Sarah Palin

Well McCain's new running mate, Sarah Palin, will definitely serve a purpose. She will confuse and distract female voters while pushing a male agenda.
So here are a few reasons I don't like her:
  • lifetime member of the NRA (and supposedly hunts regularly)
  • anti-abortion, yet still calls herself a feminist?
  • pro-death penalty
  • former beauty pageant queen...... because there has to be something pretty to look at while discussing the issues?
  • nominated miss congeniality... do you think she includes this on her resume?
  • anti-environment, for drilling in Alaska and removing tho polar bears protected status
  • little political experience (4yrs on city council, 6 yrs as mayor of a small town, and almost 2 yrs as Governor of Alaska)
  • prior work experience includes sports reporter and commercial fishing
  • uncertain religious affiliation: Pentecostal, non-denominational and Lutheran?
  • She is seen as ideal because her son is being deployed to Iraq.....how does that speak to her credibility as a candidate?
  • children with crazy names: Track, Trig, Bristol, Willow, and Piper.... i feel sorry for them!
  • married to high school boyfriend.... come on how about some exploration!
  • husband works for BP oil.... hmm she is neutral right?
  • Palin stated: "It was rightly noted in Denver this week that Hillary left 18 million cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America," she told the crowd. "But it turns out the women of America aren't finished yet, and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all." How is electing a woman who is against most women's issues shattering the glass ceiling? We might as well elect a mannequin.
  • She was only selected to take away votes from the democrats, not based on her credentials or skills
  • Sarah was chosen over many other more qualified and experienced women such as Senator Hutchison or Snowe
  • John McCain, who has previously called his wife a cunt, probably has one intention in choosing Sarah: she will be a pretty face to campaign with and deceive the consciences of women but if elected, will be asked to keep her mouth shut and submit to his paternalistic, male dominated world view (which she seemingly already has)

The following is a point for point translation of MSW's "hatred" of Sarah Palin:

+MSW would prefer her candidate to have no marksmanship skills--

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=3749914

+Prefers a candidate who thinks it's OK to stab a baby in the head and suck out its brains just because part of it is still in the birth canal (partial birth abortion)
http://www.nrlc.org/ABORTION/pba/PBA_Images/PBA_Images_Heathers_Place.htm

+Prefers a candidate who trumpets abortion while rallying to defend those who have earned their fate

+Thinks being physically attractive is detrimental to the cause...

http://www.geocities.com/richarddgelina/fireescape/2008/white_washed_feminists.jpg

+The word "congenial" has no place in the movement...even among friends. In fact, the word has been stricken from the Feminist Dyctionary.

+Sarah Palin want us all to die, including the polar bears.

+Palin's 12 years in public office just doesn't compare to Obamas 10 years.

+How will Palin know what to do in DC when her "prior work experience includes sports reporter and commercial fishing (private sector employment), compared to Obama and Biden who have spent most of their adult lives feeding off the public trough?

+Criticizing someone's religious preference (or lack of) is a good reason to "hate" someone.

+Raising a child to be a contributing member of society and a selfless patriot says nothing of her character.

+"children with crazy names: Track, Trig, Bristol, Willow, and Piper.... i feel sorry for them!" [This point is too dumb to address, even with satire]

+It's unfair she married her high school boyfriend before I had a chance to date him!

+Social exploration good...energy exploration bad.

+Freedom of belief, expression and speech has no place within the feminist movement.

+"She was only selected to take away votes from the democrats"...isn't that the point of an election? How can you say she is being "used" when, if the GOP wins, she will be rewarded with the #2 position in our government?

+Men suck.

The army son went because he was in trouble with the law for drugs. Sarah herself has admitted to heavy pot usage when Alaska had it legal (could that account for the birth defect in the baby?)

Now, Ms. Abstinence's own daughter is knocked up.

Sarah is also under investigation for misusing her office for personal vengeance against a former brother-in-law, and she has already been caught in a series of lies.

And that is just the tip of the melting iceburg.

Dan said...

Wait a minute. I thought her youngest son is really her grandson and it was all a big cover up. I know you libs have a whole bunch more lies lined up, you'll just toss crap up and see what sticks.

and yes her daughter is pregnant so what? Barry Obama's momma was 18 years old when she had Barry and was only married for 6 months. OH THE SCANDAL.

I find it humerous that someone who got married at the age of 20 to someone they never had any "exploration" with, would make such a comment about out next VP. Have your opinions, but let's not be hypocritical.

And I would say the same back to you - you are making a personal attack and clearly do not have your facts straight. It's unfortunate really.

I agree with all 17!! It's really sad to hear the Republican misfits out there try to justify her being vetted to run alongside McCain. I absolutely agree, that given his infamous temper and arrogance, Mccain will simply cast her aside and insist that she been seen and not heard if they are elected. What bothers me is that the idiots who voted Bush into a 2nd term just might succeed in electing these imbeciles. God help us.

Palin knows better than you do what you should and should not read!

She attempted to unilaterally censor books from the Wasilla Public Library, and when the librarian balked at her request, Palin tried to have her fired!

although some of things said were relevant... it kind of seemed like you were scraping the bottom of the barrel who cares that she names her dumb names.. and really there are so many substantive reasons why you would hate her:
she doesn’t believe global warming is man made... (who cares about science GOD did it)
she wants to discrete the constitution even more by pushing for creationism to be taught side by side with evaluation in public schools cause it has the same amount of proof yah ok…
she was linked to a group that wish’s for Alaska secession from the Union. Is that Patriotic…??? I don’t know sure sounds like she is putting her country first.
And for the people saying that it’s unfair to questions her personal and political beliefs and polices should remember the republican attacks on Obama’s religion and patriotic feelings

Tiffany said...

COME ON! How stupid do Republicans think women are? That we are just going to vote for her because she is a female!!! Half those Republican delegates didn't even know who the heck Palin was when McCain announced her as his #2. This is yet another perfect example of how McCain is so reactionary. He doesn't think rationally!!!!!! (ie: a better pick would have been Romney or Huckabee = people with experience). Look I'm not dogging the Republican party as a whole, there are many great thinkers/strategists out there who deserve to be on that ticket. Instead, McCain and all the rest of those eggheads decide that it's not what's best for the country, but it's about finding the easiest road to keep them on top. I used to be a Republican...hard core...now, I've switched. And with good reason too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What irritates me the most is that Palin keeps on playing the gender, hockey mom, perfect family card(s) that is just so friggin IRRELEVANT to the whole campaign. Since when did all that stuff matter? Who care if she's a female -- we can all see that -- no need to remind everyone -- i'm a female, but i don't try and use it to my every advantage. What that shows is WEAKNESS!!!!!! When you got to a job interview, they don't ask you questions like that - the more successful companies know that it's about skill, what you can offer, and what potential you have based on what you have to say. Going on and on about your daughter's unplanned pregnancy and how your husband is your high school sweetheart is akin to those annoying fill-in commercials ...Sure, it appeals to the media because it's drama and everyone knows when there's something to be talked about...that's what makes money and draws the most attention.

But BIG FRIGGIN WHOOP. It's all irrelevant and a complete distraction from what is truly important. The truth is, PALIN IS NOT QUALIFIED FOR THE JOB! I know many of you will say ..."well crap, Obama has no experience either". No one has experience being President unless you are an incumbent. But even a Friggin incumbent like George W. who has after 8 years proven himself to be a lame duck and incompetent is proof that it doesn't matter even if you are sitting in the oval office! There isn't a school which teaches you to be a President; What's important - and one in which people are not focusing on - are the ISSUES, the DECISIONS, the IDEAS behind these people. Who the crap cares about their family life....let's get to the real issues and talk about what they would do in certain situations. If you look up Palin's views on foreign policy/immigration....you'd see that she has NO say on those. Why? B/c for a beauty queen runner up that grew up in Alaska, I bet you she has never before seen a Mexican much less doesn't even know the problems outside Alaska. And for these Republicans to suggest otherwise (ie: Cindy Mccain - "She lives in Alaska which is the closest vicinity to Russia") I say PFFFFFFF. Stupid stupid. Cindy, does us all a favor and shut your mouth and just keep wearing those bright bright colors. You are just a trophy wife! The people in our own nation - the UNITED STATES - don't even know about the ways of other states. (ie: Louisiana / Alabama vs. New York / California). So please, please please...do not tell me that she knows anything about any other cultures when all she knows is Alaska and moose hunting.

If there's one thing that irks me is that people in general AMERICANS are not listening with squat. And for those who ARE listening, it doesn't matter - b/c to them, it's their policy to keep on top while keeping others below them. I was never keen on politics -- i left all that B-S to those political pundits I surrounded myself in law school. But the more I watch, and the more I listen...I can't help myself. Don't be blinded people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The RNC is nothing but a bunch of old foggies/WASPS glorifying the rich and trying to hoard their money in big gas/oil/energy at the expense of all other citizens. Remember them chanting during Guiliani's speech "drill drill drill!"???? What happened to their stance on being environmentalist? Palin said it at her first speech - a very nice 180 degree turn.

If you vote for Mccain/Palin you would be doing a big disservice not only to yourself and children...but the principles of which our Country was founded on- that every person is guaranteed "life, liberty, the pursuit of happines" and that ever person is "created equal". There is no equality or happiness when there is such a rift between the rich and poor. Electing these elitists individuals would only create an already greater sub-divide in our already fragile country.

I support Obama because he is a thinker. He is not reactionary like McCain. And although the Republicans keeps saying he has little "executive" experience. What he has is brains....he is well-read; cautious; level-headed; and downright understands that there are other cultures out there besides being a WHITE PROTESTANT MAN. He understands that there is a problem with the way our country is run. This is the first time in a long time when 8 years - this country was managed by both a REPUBLICAN LEGISLATURE (house and senate) and REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT (executive)!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Tell me there is no coincidence in that the economy has somehow managed to breakdown for all of us normal middle class average working americans and how it is that those upper gas monglers managed to reap the benefits??? Answer that question.

But you know what, it doesn't matter. Because in the end, it's the delegates that control which party wins. That's the sad part....it doesn't matter. So you shouldn't care.

People like me are left to write these sad little blogs...when in the end, they care too much but can do nothing because my state is a Republican state. For those of you that are in the so-called "hot states"...please please look at these candidates based on the issues / beliefs rather than the pomp and circumstance that that use to distract you.

Your country depends on you.............

To Phil Esterhaus:

You've taken all of MSW's points and twisted them in the most reactionary way that you could possibly manage, take a good look people, this is the future should McCain get elected:
'I don't think war is the best answer'
will be translated to:
'I hate my country and should be sent to gitmo for being degenerate terrorist scum'

And Phil your attempts to pick apart what MSW wrote are completely laughable, observe:

The following is a point for point translation of PHILS's "LOVE" of Sarah Palin:

+Phil would prefer his candidate to be ex-special forces, perhaps he has seen one too many die-hard movies?--

+Prefers a candidate who thinks it's OK to have babies, stay at home and not take a career... ah dont we all miss the 1950's? (it's not like a whole generation rebelled against their way of thinking or anything)

+Prefers a candidate who says no to abortion and thinks public hangings weren't all that bad.

+Thinks physical attractiveness has a great bearing on ones abilities.

+The word "congenial" has no place in the movement...even among friends. In fact, the word has been stricken from the Feminist Dyctionary.
(here only spelling it 'dick-tionary' or 'dyke-tionary' would have been funny ...but seeing as it wasnt deliberate it just looks ignorant ... perhaps phil should invest in one, a dictionary that is, im sure his penis works just fine)

+Sarah Palin want us all to die, including the polar bears.
Phil wants a candidate who actively hunts down and exterminates endangered species, that's right even little baby pandas ... oh and for some reason this means he wants a candidate who kills people too ... the mind boggles.

+Palin's 12 years in public office just doesn't compare to Obamas 10 years...
well phil might have a point here, experience of being a mayor of hick-town USA would help with being president of the united states, same thing, bigger scale ... at least that's the rest of the world's opinion, and who do we have to thank for that? oh that's right! the republicans!!

+How will Palin know what to do in DC when her "prior work experience includes sports reporter and commercial fishing (private sector employment), compared to Obama and Biden who have spent most of their adult lives feeding off the public trough?
yes it is private sector employment, specifically the fishing and sporting sectors ... how exactly did you think this helped your arguement??

+Criticizing someone's religious preference (or lack of) is a good reason to "hate" someone.
If you disagree with my religion you're a hate mongering pagan and Phil wants you to burn BUUURRRNN!

+Raising a child to be a contributing member of society and a selfless patriot says nothing of her character.
(I LIVE IN HAPPY LAND HAPPY LAND TRA LA LA LA)

+"children with crazy names: Track, Trig, Bristol, Willow, and Piper.... i feel sorry for them!" [This point is too dumb to address, even with satire]
well personally i think your childrens names are quite important, in fact a persons choice as to what they name their child could indicate: imagination, fore-sight, mental health, social and cultural awareness, RESPONSIBILITY ... but hey where's the fun in that? lets call all our kids 'moon unit' just for the hoot

+It's unfair she married her high school boyfriend before I had a chance to date him!
AH! the unfounded and improvable personal attack, no delusional rant should be without one! Of course! It's so clear to me now! MSW's pretending to have a social conscienece but really all she wants is to get in to Mr. Palins pants! HA! so when is the mothership taking you back to your homeplanet phil?

+Social exploration good...energy exploration bad.
Being kind to your neighbour who is from some 'foreign' place (GASP!) is terrible, unforgiveable and should be tried in the courts as treason ... building nuclear facilities on all the major fault lines is the way to go, there haven't been that many major earthquakes recently have there?

+Freedom of belief, expression and speech has no place within the feminist movement.
MSW is obviously a totalitarian, conservative, nazi-fornicater ...no wait, thats republicans!! nice try you cheeky wasp you!

+"She was only selected to take away votes from the democrats"...isn't that the point of an election? How can you say she is being "used" when, if the GOP wins, she will be rewarded with the #2 position in our government?
No, the point of an election is for the people to decide whom should lead their nation and represent their way of life on a global stage, you're thinking of popularity contests phil, and if my entire career got me to a point where i was told to go sit in the corner because only my breasts are really needed, and that was only during election time ... yes, id feel a little used, in life as in love-making phil, its give and take.

anyway sorry about the big long rant, but i felt that someone had to say it

It's so clear from people outside US who should be elected. We're all sick and tired of having Republican running US, thus, the world with stupidity and do not want the same again!!!! Here are what the rest of the world thinks about some of the issues...

Iraq war - seems like US is the only country with president who is proud to send troops to war and is still proved popular. The rest of the world hate war, ok? It is pointless and barbaric. Instead of sending innocent people to die in Iraq, their lives would worth more helping children in Iraq, Africa and Asia. SOME Americans HAVE TO COME IN TO SENSES THAT WAR IS BAD!

Oil prices - US car-dependent and oil price subsidy policy have to stop. Consuming most of the gas is not enough, but because of huge amount of consumption, it creates interests to start war in Iraq. Relating to issue the war issue.

I simply think that a person who governed Alaska state (very cosmopolitan state indeed...) for a year would be able to handle national governance is imbecile. It's like she won a lottery or something. And appalling fact that she just got her passport a year ago just proves the fact how small of the world she'd known. And how narrow her view she'd had. And how she's not "at that level" yet.

I'm sorry, but from my perspective your 17 reasons have no significant basis. It really seems -- and I can't be sure, but I'm just telling you how it seems -- as though you're jealous that Sarah stole Hussein's thunder and could lead your enemies to victory. There quite simply is nothing of substance in any of your 17 reasons. This speaks very loudly -- your hate is more likely to be directed at something else that you're not acknowledging.

I'm voting for the Sarah-Cudda... oh yeah and the old guy, too :)

And remember, hate is the same as murder before a holy God. Remember Jesus' words at the sermon on the mount? "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.' But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, 'You fool! will be liable to the hell of fire." (Matthew 5:21,22 ESV)

Please repent of your hatred; you will stand before Him one day to give an account for what you are saying and doing. Repent and trust the Savior's finished work on the cross.

THANK YOU Milwaukee for your blog posting. I do not feel hate for SP but I am praying that for our country's sake, McCain/Palin DO NOT WIN. I can name 17 x 7 more reasons myself --- every single day I learn even more from reading newspapers, the internet, tv shows and people emailing me more reasons. Have you seen all the examples and experiences from the citizens of not just Wasilla, Alaska but the entire state itself? I shudder to think of this person becoming the president of our country!

The biggest reason to "hate" Palin, IMO, is that she is a "star" and takes the spotlight off the fact that a McCain presidency would be 4 more years of pretty much the same.

We get to look at her glitter and "downtoearthedness" and forget about the issues that we SHOULD be looking at. All eyes should be on McCain, not his VP.

Brilliant move by the Republicans for the election, not such a good move for the country.

Hello - wonderful blog! If you want to keep Palin out of the #2 (and possibly #1) leadership position in the county - there are ways you can help. Don't just sit back and rant and "hope" the democrats will win. This race will be tight enough that your 1 vote really will not probably be enough. The democratic campaign is not funded by big business interests like McCain's and Obama needs ALL the help....and supplies...and food for volunteers that they can get. Help with whatever you can.

I am a volunteer with the Barack Obama campaign. Obama supports many women's issues, including Pro-Choice, education and equal pay for equal work. We are opening a brand new campaign office on the south side of the Milwaukee area. We are looking for Obama supporters to join us at the Grand Opening of our South Howell Barack Obama Campaign for a Change office at 7435 S. Howell Ave. in Oak Creek. The Grand Opening will be held this Saturday Sept. 20th, from 4-6:30pm and will include food, entertainment, special speakers and an opportunity to network with other Obama supporters and find out ways to be involved in the campaign.

Don't just be angry - or worse - feel like you COULD have done something if the dems don't win (again). This is your chance to do your part - to stand up and contribute time, money, supplies - anything you can give to the cause. We're all busy - but these issues and this election is far too important to ignore or leave up to chance - or to "others". I talked to a man who was mad the Obama campaign didn't have up more signs. "Why aren't they putting up more signs", he said, "it's absolutely disgraceful". I told him I understood his frustration - and I wished there were more signs posted too...but exactly who do you think "they" are? In the McCain campaign "they" are big business interests. In the Obama campaign...they are US...this is a campaign FOR the people and BY the people. It's not just lip service. If you don't help, we won't win.

If you can't make it to the South Howell office opening, or don't live nearby - go to barackobama.com and see how you can help out in your area.

Thanks for the great discussion. Good points. Now DO something about it.

The point is that she's not breaking any glass ceilings, she's setting back the womans movement 100 years. She's submissive to the men around her, she perpetuates the lies that all strong women are ruthless, vengeful bitches, and she stands there and flaunts her credentials as a self proclaimed hockey mom like that somehow makes her eligible to run the country. IF John McCain makes it into the white house (so help us no one let that happen please) and dies, which lets face it, there's a good chance, then this woman would be deciding our fates. All of these dumb ass republicans who years ago thought women shouldn't have the right to vote turn around and try to elect one of the dumbest, ignorant, ill educated, beauty queens I have ever seen. So who gives a damn about her daughter, her son Trig??? Look at her policies and experience. She has none.

Lets say that Sarah is not arrogant but it is Barry H O and his handlers David and Howard who between the three of them have more hubris than "any" big sports arena with TV coverage can satisfy.

And lets just say that Sarah is a forward-thinking renaissance woman, who is highly self aware and has an authentic quality to her with an "intact belief system" that serves her well in business, family and personal situations-- And also lets say that she is warming, strong and beautiful too.

Now lets just say that MSWorkers vitriol stems from the above paragraph... And that I believe we can say.

i also googled "i hate sarah palin" and found this site, and after reading the comments left by others thought i could add an 18th reason to hate her which could easily steal the number one spot:

as mayor of wasilla, one of her first actions was to set a policy that alleged victims of rape should be required to pay for their own rape kits if they wished to report a rape.

if this is not disgusting enough, the cherry on top is that she and her surrogates actually BRAGGED about how this action reduced reports of rape.

she is a disgrace to women everywhere.

oh and by the way, john mccain makes her look like mother theresa. mr. "maverick" has used his pow status to talk about his patriotism, while betraying and denegrating vietnam veterans and specifically pows every chance he gets. look up vietnamveteranshatejohnmccain.com and prepare to be amazed.

Old Gregg said...

I regard Gov. Sarah Palin the way I would the sort of stinking filth I might have to clean off my boots after a careless walk in a dog kennel, and that claim is even more true now. In the first place, Palin hates you -- yes, you, because you, like me, want to fight the warped, distorted, misshapen, unwholesome monstrosity that Palin's bons mots have become. A trip to your local library would reveal that the erroneous things she says about me are sometimes entertaining, oftentimes sad, and frequently entirely craven. What's my problem, then? Allow me to present it in the form of a question: Why can't she simply enjoy the fruits of her own labors and let other people enjoy the fruits of theirs? To rephrase that question, what provoked her to spread hatred, animosity, and divisiveness? That is, what meaningless self-inflicted psychological trauma is she going through now? The answer to that question has broad implications. For example, when a friend wants to drive inebriated, you try to stop him. Well, Palin is drunk with power, which is why we must prevent the Palin-induced catastrophe I foresee and save our nation from its time of deepest humiliation and disgrace.

Palin seems to assume that we can all live together happily without laws, like the members of some 1960s-style dope-smoking commune. This is an assumption of the worst kind because I have to wonder where she got the idea that it is my view that two wrongs make a right. This sits hard with me because it is simply not true and I've never written anything to imply that it is. This is a free country, and I assert we ought to keep it that way. Palin is a woman with more ambition than conviction. I'll go further: Unlike Palin, when I make a mistake I'm willing to admit it. Consequently, if -- and I'm bending over backwards to maintain the illusion of "innocent until proven guilty" -- she were not actually responsible for trying to silence any criticism of the brainwashing and double standards that she has increasingly been practicing, then I'd stop saying that I have frequently criticized Palin's unspoken plan to identify political and religious groups that are her political enemies and re-label them as "unsavory, narrow-minded spivs" in order to justify operations against them. She usually addresses my criticisms by accusing me of Chekism, boosterism, child molestation, and halitosis. Palin hopes that by delegitimizing me this way, no one will listen to me when I say that at no time in the past did cocky thought police shamble through the streets of cities, demanding rights they imagine some supernatural power has bestowed upon them.

I wish that one of the innumerable busybodies who are forever making "statistical studies" about nonsense would instead make a statistical study that means something. For example, I'd like to see a statistical study of Palin's capacity to learn the obvious. Also worthwhile would be a statistical study of how many illiberal rubes realize that I've tried to explain to Palin's uncivilized myrmidons that Palin considers it a moral obligation to fool and cheat others wherever and whenever possible. As could be expected, they were a bit slow on the uptake. I just couldn't get them to comprehend that Palin appears to have found a new tool to use to help her demand that Earth submit to the dominion of pugnacious ingrates. That tool is phallocentrism, and if you watch her wield it, you'll indisputably see why I am worried about a new physiognomy of servitude, a compliant citizenry relieved of its burdens by a "compassionate" Sarah Palin. It's hard to spot the compassion when you notice that it has been brought to my attention that she is all too typical of the sort of crafty buggers who block streets and traffic to the extent that ambulances can't get through. While this is true, she will do everything in her power to vilify our history, character, values, and traditions. No wonder corruption is endemic to our society; implying that newspapers should report only on items Palin agrees with is no different from implying that Palin is a refined lady with the soundest education and morals you can imagine. Both statements are ludicrous.

What I am getting at is this: I wonder what would happen if Palin really did perpetuate myths that glorify stoicism. There's a spooky thought. If she wants to waste hours and hours of our time in fruitless conferences and meetings, let her wear the opprobrium of that decision. To understand why that affects everyone who has ever lived you need to realize that I have no set opinion as to whether or not Palin's apple-polishers, who are legion, have coordinated their propaganda efforts into a superbly-wrought symphony of hatred and destruction. I do, however, obviously profess that if anything, she insists that the majority of mephitic, pigheaded rumormongers are heroes, if not saints. That lie is a transparent and strained effort to keep us from noticing that ancient Greek dramatists discerned a peculiar virtue in being tragic. Palin would do well to realize that they never discerned any virtue in being duplicitous.

We should note, of course, that what I've written about Palin doesn't prove anything in itself. It's only suggestive but it does make a good point that Palin commonly appoints ineffective people to important positions. She then ensures that these people stay in those positions because that makes it easy for Palin to get everyone to march in lockstep with her salacious, unpleasant lapdogs.

Palin does not merely substitute rumor and gossip for bona fide evidence. She does so consciously, deliberately, willfully, and methodically. She says that we're supposed to shut up and smile when she says jaundiced things. Should we care that large numbers of what I call jaded hellions actually believe such misinformed things? Should we try to convince them otherwise? I don't think so. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that she has never satisfactorily proved her assertion that she has her moral compass in tact. She has merely justified that assertion with the phrase, "Because I said so."

Astute observers have known for years that Palin has written volumes about how the federal government should take more and more of our hard-earned money and more and more of our hard-won rights. Don't believe a word of it, though. The truth is that those of us who are still sane, those of us who still have a firm grip on reality, those of us who still feel that I challenge her to admit she was wrong and thereby begin the healing process, have an obligation to do more than just observe what she is doing from a safe distance. We have an obligation to condemn her criminal ineptitude. We have an obligation to encourage our spirits to soar. And we have an obligation to outline her troubling pattern of lying, incompetence, and carelessness.

If I have characterized Palin's helots up to now as putrid and foul, it is only because Palin's idea of argumentative, capricious masochism is no political belief. It is a fierce and burning gospel of hatred and intolerance, of murder and destruction, and the unloosing of a contentious blood-lust. It is, in every sense, a gruesome and pagan religion that incites its worshippers to an aberrant frenzy and then prompts them to make us less united, less moral, less sensitive, less engaged, and more perversely wicked. If I want to stampede into the abattoir, that should be my prerogative. I don't need Palin forcing me to. Many people are shocked when I tell them that the costs of her precepts outweigh their benefits. And I'm shocked that so many people are shocked. You see, I had thought everybody already knew that mankind needs to do more to enhance people's curiosity, critical acumen, and aesthetic sensitivity. Understand, I am not condemning mankind for not doing enough; I am merely stating that Palin maintains that her obloquies will spread enlightenment to the masses, nurture democracy, reestablish the bonds of community, bring us closer to God, and generally work to the betterment of Man and society. Perhaps it would be best for her to awaken from her delusional, narcoleptic fantasyland and observe that if she succeeds in her attempt to up the ante considerably, it'll have to be over my dead body.

Palin has allowed herself to become a spokeswoman for the same point of view shared by hidebound blatherskites, sex-crazed, stubborn Huns, and snarky benighted-types while masquerading as an outspoken radical bucking the system. Does anyone believe her claim that the Eleventh Commandment is, "Thou shalt lower this country's moral tone and depreciate its commercial integrity"? Come on, anyone? Like I thought, one of the goals of libertinism is to render meaningless the words "best" and "worst". Palin admires that philosophy because, by annihilating human perceptions of quality, Palin's own mediocrity can flourish.

Curiously, I frequently wish to tell Palin that she consistently falls short of telling the whole story or of making a solid point. But being a generally genteel person, however, I always bite my tongue. Accordingly, there are two classes of people in this world. There are those who carry our once-proud nation deeper into savagery and depravity and there are those who help people see her besotted, mealymouthed words for what they are. Palin fits neatly into the former category, of course. Her idolators are too indolent to focus on what unites rather than divides us, by which I mean that her tricks have caused widespread social alienation and from this alienation a thousand social pathologies have sprung. Palin's manuscripts have experienced a considerable amount of evolution (or perhaps more accurately, genetic drift) over the past few weeks. They used to be simply antihumanist. Now, not only are they both irritating and inane, but they also serve as unequivocal proof that Palin's idiotic claim that anyone who disagrees with her is ultimately execrable is just that, an idiotic claim. Let me sum up. Gov. Sarah Palin is nothing if not harebrained.

Oh this woman just irks me, something is not right with her, I ate how she has a sarcastic little smile with everything she says. It's also real cute the way she says she is governor of a huge state just to make it sound good, hello! there is 1.1 person per square mile.... and who has the right to tell anyone they have to have a child, BTW Partial Birth Abortion is already illegal.

I find it very scary that we live in a world where somebody as stupid and inexperienced as Sarah Palin could possibly be considered for the role of Vice President.

But then America did vote for George Bush, and that kind of explains why Sarah Palin is even in this position. Ordinary Americans are ignorant, and react strongly to the politics of fear. That makes her a powerful threat to the democratic ticket, despite the fact the rest of the world is laughing at the possibility that she could ever be VP.

If you listen to her rhetoric last night as opposed to Joe Biden's, she kept mentioning fear-mongering issues without defined policies to combat them. "Greed and corruption on Wall St", "Freedom can disappear in one generation", "We won't sit down with our enemies as they seek to destroy America".

I'm paraphrasing, but the point is, when she talks about these issues as gargantuan fears, ordinary Americans get scared and seek to rally behind the strongest candidate - the leader who can lead them to salvation, from the brink of extinction. That was George Bush in 2004, and it might well be McCain/Palin.

For the sake of humanity though, the world hopes Americans won't be shepherded to vote in this rotten way.

I, for one, am HIGHLY insulted that the Republican Party thinks that I would switch my vote to them merely because they chose a female running mate for McCain. How shallow do they think I am, as well as all women??? Reminds me of the choice of Dan Quayle for George H. W. Bush's running mate, on the premise that women would vote for the "good looking guy". Sheesh!!! I'm a supporter of Obama, not because he's handsome, but because his ideals match mine. McCain is NO HERO and NO CANDIDATE. And Palin is a joke.

I live in Australia and I saw this woman on our news over here and I instantly hated her when she stated in a conference "...I believe America should live by the guidelines of the bible and every page in it". I nearly started laughing at how stupid that would be if taken seriously.

So I looked her up and did a little bit of research and apparently she is pro life yet she tried to take health benefits from same sex couples in addition to being a lifetime member of the NRA and hunts dangered species. I'm a vegetarian so after instantly disliking her religious views for a government basis I now hate everything she is and everything she stands for (Because it's not like she means any of it anyway...hah)

I think Barrack needs as much support as possible because he creates legislations for factors that are much more important such as electoral fraud, nuclear terrorism and care for U.S. Millitary who have returned home and so on.

To someone who posted a comment in here before called 'Chris' have you ever stopped to think that maybe not everyone follows the same religion as you? I'm just saying that maybe not everyone is a good willed Jesus loving person who cares about killing threatened wildlife and abortion policies that are as pathetic as your weak little quotes from the bible in order to defend yourself. Now please fuck off.

In conclusion short and sweet, Palins' theories are as fake as she looks.

Cheers

Sarah Palin makes me feel like when you have an itch on that place of your back you can't reach yourself.

I am from Holland, so maybe my English isn't always correct, but I'm trying my best. In Holland, people look at the world in a more down-to-earth way than most people in America. America is a very, very dramatic country. It's all about keeping up appearances, Americans live in it's own little toy world. I'm not saying all Americans are like that, but I believe a lot of them are.

What Sarah Palin has to do with that?

Sarah Palin is the embodiment of everything that people who are not from America, hate about America. She is super religious, hypocritical, short-sighted, and so on. The way she looks at the world, is the same way that people did 500 years ago. And look what a great influence her life filosofy had had on her family; her seventeen year-old daughter is pregnant, because her mother never told her where babies came from. Abstinence is not the answer, why does everybody still think that. If kids in America would just get proper education about sex, there wouldn't be so many teen moms in America. Let them have sex, get funky, give them condoms, who cares if they lose their virginity at 15? I personally would find it much worse if my kids got their license at 16 and got in a car accident a week later because passing the exam is so easy that a 2 year old could pass it. In Holland, we can drink at 16 and it works out fine. We can drive at 18 and have to take a very, very hard test first. Because a lot more people die from car accidents than from alcohol abuse.

Sarah Palin makes my skin crawl. Because she is fake. Fake to the bone. From her hair colour to her ideals. I mean, how could you be an NRA member (Bowling for Columbine, loved that movie) and hunt, and be pro-death penalty, but be against abortion? Because God said so? She obviously thinks that she has the right to take another being's life, so what's the reason behind that? When it's an animal or a criminal, it's below her so it's oke?

As long as there are people like Sarah Palin, there will be injustice in this world. She might be a former Pageant winner, but on the inside, she's drop dead ugly.

I would prefer a candidate who can think, who can lead, who uses her brain, who is not selfish enough to hunt from a helicopter, have her fifth freakin child after she already had 4 after the age of 40, condemn anybody who does not agree with her religious beliefs....gosh, I could go on and on. HELLO, America, what in the heck happened to your brains? Are you kidding me??????? I lived in stinkin Wasilla and if you think that her time there as mayor gives her experience...then consider my experience as a girl scout troop leader. Wasilla is a very small, redneck town with a lot of uneducated idiots. She led the idiots. Big deal. Alaska is not like the rest of the country on so many levels. Argghhh. When someone answers a simple question, such as, WHAT DO YOU READ? and they answer, EVERYTHING, ALL OF IT...Run to the hills!!! A literate and intelligent 12 year old can answer that question. SEND HER BACK TO THE POLAR BEARS!!!

Sarah Palin is so inexperienced and I am so turned off by her winks and "you betchas"...John McCain has made such a horrible pick with her...why oh why did he not pick Mitt Romney..a proven leader and uber success at business? I am from Massachusetts and he was the best governor we have ever had...this man has such acuity at finance and leadership. I was leaning toward McCain until he picked this joke of a candidate. No disrespect to Alaska but come on...she does not sell in the populated lower 48...Obama has my vote...yes he is inexperienced but he has proven to show judgement and I believe that he will surround himself with learned people. Sarah, go home to your Caribou Barbie persona...

First of all, was anyone offended by "Joe six-pack?" Six-pack. Six-pack. Six-pack of what? Soda? OJ? I don't think so. I am a single mother who sits around my dinner-table at night with my gorgeous child and wonder how I am going to keep us afloat. She is abominable. There is NO way I could vote for John McCain. I was going to until the VP debate and then I heard Obama speak on my University campus. He is articulate, educated and realistic. Sarah Palin is an idiot who gives women a bad name. Although, if by some disaster they do get elected, hopefully she would do like Cheney and shoot someone and go to jail. I wonder what our founding father's would think.
Thank you so much for this blog. Oh! And Republicans who are reading this, find something to do.

could someone please explain to me why is it that people who are often pro-birth...also love to hunt & kill defenseless creatures who are not (at least openly) of the human race?

does this mean that if someone views minorities as less than the human race (e.g., white, caucasian) that it too is ok to blast them with a rifle?

please explain.
i'm quite confused about the (il)logic.

To Lilyko: these kinds of fundamentalists believe in the 'end of days' literally and will damage the earth, because 'we' have been given dominion over it and all the animals; that said we can do anything with the earth, and we can do and kill any animal for profit, sport or food (I hardly believe that Caribou Barbie hunted to feed the family). The last is almost acceptable if one is poor and lives in rural areas.
She is definitely the reason I could never vote for Mcsame, and the reason I could move overseas if Mcpalin win.

She needs to hold her inner child and say its all right- we can make it through this jealousy ! !

I don't want to hate people I don't even know, Mrs. Palin included. But what really REALLY REALLY REALLY makes me HATE people is when they assume PRO CHOICE means PRO ABORTION. No. Wrong. Ignorant. Pro Choice does NOT mean we want to give partial birth to a baby and then suck its brains out. It doesn't mean we want to kill babies. I love babies. In fact, I have three precious children whom I love dearly and would die saving. Yet, I am Pro Choice. Some sort of strange paradox???

I don't want to elect officials who are in favor of stabbing babies in the head and sucking their brains out or whatever ILLEGAL abortion scare-tactic you care to come up with. I also don't want to elect someone who says that I have to deliver or suffer the emotional and physical hardships of carrying to term a child of my rapist. I want to elect a qualified official who supports a woman's freedom to make a choice concerning what is happening in her own body.

Please do not use your ignorance as a weapon, for it will cut you down in the end.

i couldnt agree with switters more. I am a 20 year old british student who has spent the last year hoping for a democrat win. The anti-abortion propagada of the mythical partial birth abortion (which is illegal in ALL western states) is something i am sick of hearing from the bible belt and McCain's troops.

Having known victims of rape and sexual abuse, having seen the lengths catholic irish women go to in order to get abortions, crossing borders or risking their health and even their life in backstreet abortionists i can with good concious only be pro-choice.
If you want the moralistic choice of whether or not to have an abortion, that choice exists, why take it away from other women not as finacially stable, not emotionally stable, not equipt for the arrival of child? THAT surely takes away every right of choice we have as people on this earth.

Sarah Palin stands as an effergy of every uninformed, ignorant person who seeks to remove the choice form teenagers, who under Palins ways would have NO ACCESS TO CONTRACEPTION TO START WITH WITH ONLY ABSTENACE SEX EDUCATION. You can't have it both ways.

America is a nation of smart and diverise people so its time to separate church and state and stop forcing your overbaring moralistic attitudes on more liberal christians and other religions. And if you are christian you muct therefore believe that above all things, all things on earth god will forgive.

And one more thing, if you forget to vote tommorrow you are ignoring the right that every british person wishes they have as anything you guys get involved in we get dragged into as well. Thats why i want Obama. Sencible, rational, accepting, tolerant.

"+Prefers a candidate who thinks it's OK to stab a baby in the head and suck out its brains just because part of it is still in the birth canal (partial birth abortion)"

A word of advice, Phil, look up the REAL definition of a partial birth abortion. You know what, I'll do it for you since you're probably to afraid of being proved wrong to do it yourself.

From AmericanPregnancy.org:
"Partial Birth Abortion: A surgical procedure used to terminate a pregancy after 21 weeks of gestation."

21 WEEKS. A full gestation period for a human embryo is 40 weeks. So your definition obviously needs a little work.

"+Prefers a candidate who trumpets abortion while rallying to defend those who have earned their fate"

FYI, pro-choice does NOT mean pro-abortion. It just means they support a woman's right to CHOOSE whether or not to have an abortion. Hence the name. Duh. And I don't see you condemning those people who are pro-life and support a war where civilians are slaughtered when they did nothing wrong.
